Brand Strategist

The ideal candidate will be a strong conceptual and collaborative thinker with the ability to persuasively present ideas to clients and team members. Bring innovative solutions to client problems when presented with marketing and communication challenges. Expertly articulate your visions and possess a strong attention to detail, possess qualitative and quantitative consumer research and strong oral and written communication skills. You must be flexible, able to quickly adapt to new situations, and be deeply familiar and passionate about not only traditional marketing, advertising and design, but digital and new media marketing concepts, practices and programs as well.

Responsibilities

The Strategist provides the client with the most effective branding, marketing and media plan recommendation to insure that the client's goals are met. He/she must be the day-to-day steward on assigned brands. The Strategist is required to develop and maintain an intimate knowledge of their clients' business and ensure that all client project and media requirements are executed in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements
  • 7 years minimum account and project management experience
  • Must have worked with or in at least 4 or more industries
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong "people skills"
  • Strong research abilities
  • Proactive approach to problem resolution and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Designer

If you are a talented designer with proven experience in a variety of industries then BrandExtract has a home for you. Work side-by-side with some of Houston’s best creative talent. This is a permanent position and the compensation package is excellent.

Summary

The selected candidate will be involved with a wide range of projects including but not limited to presentations, Web, print, advertising, direct mail and tradeshow booth design. This position will also be involved in the production process, which can include dealing with vendors, clients/executives and internal design staff.

Responsibilities
  • Works with senior and executive management on the design development of projects for a variety of clients.
  • Understands the client's business model and strategic plans
  • Aligns concepts accordingly
  • Meets with clients to address communication requirements
  • Brainstorms communication and marketing ideas and concepts that will drive brand recognition
  • Manages schedules and assets
  • B.F.A. in design communications or equivalent
  • 4-8 years of design experience for a variety of industries and for a variety of solutions from logos to ads.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work with clients to effectively meet their needs and deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically and produce high-impact products
  • Superior attention to detail while balancing multiple projects
  • Proven services experience
  • Adobe CS3 Creative Suite and MS Office proficiency

Developer

The ideal candidate will have experience in the product development life cycle including the gathering of requirements, writing technical design specifications, developing code, testing and deploying the final solution. Strong skills in HTML and Javascript are absolutely necessary. The candidate must have some experience with ASP, SQL, and XML/XSL. Experience with ASP.NET, PHP and WordPress is a plus.

Requirements
  • Solid oral and written communications skills
  • Experience developing queries and storage procedures for Microsoft SQL Server
  • Able to work both independently and with a team depending on assignment
  • Proactive approach to problem resolution and ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Detail-oriented and a team player

The ideal candidate has at least three years experience, but we will consider entry-level candidates who can demonstrate good knowledge of the required skills and a passion to grow.

IT Support

This mid-level part time position involves a wide range of disciplines and would best suit a motivated self-learner. In addition to IT support, you will be tasked with helping to establish processes for a growing tech-savvy firm.

Responsibilities include:
  • Desktop support for 20 Mac users, including printers, scanners, etc
  • Management of multiple virtual and physical Windows servers
  • Management of multiple virtual and physical Linux servers
  • Management of multiple Mac servers
  • Maintenance of office network including switch and firewall configuration
  • Maintenance of data center network including switches, firewalls, and other appliances
  • Management of backup processes
  • Asset management (hardware and software)
  • Contribute to process developement

Web Project Manager

The ideal candidate will have three years minimum experience in an agency environment where juggling multiple Web development projects for a diverse range of client is second nature. Duties include requirements gathering and documentation, creating and maintaining project schedules and budgets, maintaining project momentum to completion, providing written status updates, and responding quickly and effectively to incoming requests. The candidate will also be responsible for creating and maintaining various check lists and overseeing the QA process. Strong oral and written communication skills are a must; PMI certification is a plus. Macintosh is the preferred platform.
