Being chief wordsmith at BrandExtract means that Cindy listens to many conversations. She develops brand and public relations strategies, generates buzz for clients, writes internal and external communications and just generally solves problems. Her 24-year career began with business reporting for newspapers around the country where she interviewed many of the top business leaders. Since then, she’s worked on both sides of the client-agency aisle using a wide range of strategies, tools and messaging. Before joining BrandExtract, she held senior communications and PR positions at such firms as American General, Sommers & Associates Public Relations, and Texas Children’s Hospital. Cindy’s awards span The Marcom Creative, American Business Communicators, FinancialWorld Magazine and IABC. She is a member of the board for Texas Foundation for the Arts and is a B2B committee member for the American Marketing Association's Houston Chapter. When she’s not immersed in a client’s brand, she’s working on her master’s degree in integrated marketing communications. |
