(Houston) BrandExtract, LLC announced today that Shelli Manning has joined the integrated branding and communications firm as a project manager and senior writer. Manning is responsible for managing multiple communications projects from initial phases to implementation, on-time and on-budget. She also serves as lead copywriter, writing and executing print, direct, interactive and collateral communications for a variety of BrandExtract clients.
Manning reports to BrandExtract's director of communications and PR.
"Shelli brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing communications to BrandExtract. She's a strong addition to our team of experienced and talented writers, brand managers, designers, and interactive programmers and developers," said BrandExtract Director of Communications and PR Cindy Shanley.
Prior to joining BrandExtract, Manning was a senior Web communications specialist at The Menninger Clinic in Houston, where she was responsible for planning and launching the facility's first intranet and relaunching the Web site. She also worked with various departments to promote programs such as The Menninger's Health Fair and Wellness Program, and performed project management for Marketing and Public Affairs initiatives including the coordination of external and internal events. Other past positions included senior communications roles for companies and agencies located in Kansas City.
As a member of the Houston Chapter of Public Relations Society of America, Manning served on the professional development committee and the intern chair. She has won numerous PRSA awards, such as the Prism Award in Electronic Communication, the Silver Award in National Marketing Communications and the Media Relations Award in Business.
Manning serves the community as a volunteer for Special Olympics, March of Dimes WalkAmerica, United Way, and the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
Manning earned a Master of Liberal Arts, with an emphasis in Management and Writing, from Baker University in 1997. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Fort Hays State University.
