Branding For Good°
Some of the most satisfying engagements occur when we get to put our brand experience talents to work for community-driven causes and organizations, those passionate people who make believers out of us.
Our rebranding efforts helped Literacy Advance of Houston (LAH) increase the number of volunteer hours by more than 50% (15,000+ hours) in one year. The LAH programs impacted 1,875 individuals through 722 literacy classes. And those numbers were achieved sans government funding.
Prepping Kids For College
The Cristo Rey Network of Catholic high schools provides college preparatory education and corporate work experience to urban young people with limited educational opportunities. When they decided to establish a school in Houston, they turned to us for an extensive, ground-up marketing effort. With our help, the school recruited a full inaugural class, secured the sponsors needed to support all the students in its work-study program and position itself in the community. And they opened their doors nearly a year earlier than expected.
Engaging Texas History
For the San Jacinto Museum of History we developed a fully modern, interactive experience for students, teachers and the general public providing a fun and engaging way to learn new things about the museum and Texas history. Not to mention increase museum attendance and assist with fundraising. The new website received rave reviews from staff, board members and visitors, who are able to share their thoughts on the site’s guestbook. Texas history has never been so alive and relevant.

We Believe We’re All In This Together
When they started the company, our founders made doing the right thing a defining priority. It has attracted the right people. Giving, helping, caring and sharing are characteristics alive and well in the hearts and minds of the entire BrandExtract team.
Volunteerism in Many Forms
We look for opportunities to start something.
Read our team’s bios and you’ll find, as you might expect, leadership and participation in marketing and design organizations as we endeavor to expand the reach and influence of our chosen industry. But you’ll also discover that our team is passionately engaged in helping a wide range of non-profits in town.
BrandExtract team members have led or helped start efforts to cure cancer, advance literacy, provide scholarships and teach entrepreneurship, as well as play invaluable roles in local government and with organizations like the Girl Scouts of America, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and the American Diabetes Association, to name just a few.
When not sweating deadlines, we’re frequently...well...sweating.
Every quarter, we take a day to volunteer as a group for a local non-profit. While that sounds good, believe us, there is nothing quite so pleasing as the sight of designers and writers pulling up weeds at Memorial Park. Or project managers and strategists assembling wheel barrows at the Houston ToolBank. Or developers and analysts cleaning up the barn for the horses at Special Cheers.
We’re a competitive group, instinctively trying to out-work each other and pestering our hosts to compare our sweat equity to that of other companies. Of course that just serves as additional motivation. At BrandExtract, we believe ultimately, we’re all in this together.
