Believer in all things creative. David spends his time in the dual worlds of creator and director as a Creative Director at BrandExtract. Whether its naming or branding a new company or encouraging teams to explore new ideas and push boundaries, David enjoys wearing both hats. David’s parents were both university music professors where he learned the value of passing on your knowledge and collaborating to make something special.
Creativity is a powerful thing when its grounded in solid strategy.
David brings 30 years of experience to the position. He has rebranded major corporations and worked with such companies as Microsoft, Shell, Deloitte Touche, Chase Bank, Schlumberger, Houston Grand Opera and FotoFest International. His work has received awards and recognition by national organizations and prestigious juried shows such as Communication Arts, Graphis, The One Show, AR100, AIGA, The New York Art Directors Club, Print, and the Type Directors Club. As well as winning numerous local ADDY, Crystal and Lantern Awards. A graduate of Texas A&M-Commerce with a B.A. in Communication Design, David has also taught communication design at Indiana State.
Outside of work David enjoys vacations with his family to national parks, Yosemite being their favorite so far and long bike rides along Houston’s bayou trails. He also loves exploring the multicultural cuisines of our great city.
