BrandExtract Tackles Hunger at Kids' Meals

May 18, 2015

More than three thousand children received a much-needed nutritious lunch thanks to the efforts of Houston brand experience firm BrandExtract.

BrandExtract organizes a volunteer event once each quarter, and on April 24, 2015, the team gathered at Kids’ Meals to bring more to the table as citizens of the Houston community. A local non-profit committed to fighting hunger and food insecurity, Kids’ Meals delivers meals to the doors of impoverished children under the age of five, free of cost, every weekday, year round.

The BrandExtract team divided and conquered in tackling a host of lunch-making duties, which included assembling sandwiches, sorting and packing lunches, and decorating the bags for each child. In just under four hours, the team readied upwards of 3,000 lunches and prepared even more sandwiches for the next day’s volunteers to pack.

BrandExtract proudly supports the Kids’ Meals mission to end hunger and improve food security for Houston-area children. The work accomplished at BrandExtract’s quarterly service day directly benefits these kids in need while affording the BrandExtract team an opportunity to support our community in a meaningful way.

At the conclusion of each quarterly service day, BrandExtract recognizes an outstanding employee, nominated by their fellow team members, with the Big Head Award. The award acknowledges exceptional initiative, innovation, superior results, client service excellence and/or exemplary teamwork. BrandExtract is honored to congratulate this quarter’s winners: Audrey Taveras and Sharon Lenert.
