UPS Industrial Services (UPSIS) engaged BrandExtract at a pivotal moment in the organization’s evolution. Following a period of significant organizational change, most notably the formal separation from its former merged partner, UPSIS was preparing to host its first bi-annual leadership conference as an independent company. The moment carried weight. Leadership had long been a cornerstone of the UPSIS culture, and the company saw this event as both a unifying force for its workforce and the formal launch of its branded leadership development program, L.E.A.D. 2025. UPSIS sought a strategic partner to bring the L.E.A.D. ethos to life, align leadership values across the organization, and design, brand, and execute an internal conference that would signal clarity, confidence, and forward momentum for the future.
Shaping LEAD 2025: “Tools to L.E.A.D.”
The creative challenge was clear: design a leadership experience and visual language that reflected UPSIS’s blue-collar, safety-driven and family-oriented culture, authentic and grounded rather than overly corporate or polished. Set at the Galveston Island Convention Center, we developed the strategic concept “Tools to L.E.A.D.,” a rallying call that shaped both the experience and the look and feel of the event, inviting employees to equip themselves with the knowledge, resources and confidence to lead with purpose and ownership at every job site.
BrandExtract led the creative strategy and full event design from end to end, developing the theme, messaging framework and a cohesive visual identity that carried across the environment, stage design, signage, partner assets and event content. Every design decision was intentionally rooted in the UPSIS ethos, translating the company’s hardworking spirit and leadership-first culture into a tangible, unified experience felt at every touchpoint

Turning Strategy Into Experience
BrandExtract partnered with a select group of trusted production and execution specialists to bring the L.E.A.D. vision to life. Mystery Motion developed custom 3D-rendered tool graphics that visually reinforced the “Tools to L.E.A.D.” concept, while Vision Production Group led event production and on-site execution. LoneStar Exhibits managed large-scale printing and installation, and Let It Fly Events enhanced the environment through décor, lighting and floral design.
Together, these efforts transformed the Galveston Island Convention Center into a fully branded, immersive environment where every touchpoint, from oversized environmental graphics to stage design, reinforced UPSIS’s culture, values and renewed brand identity.
“Our partnership with Vision allowed us to translate strategy and storytelling into a truly immersive experience,” said Cynthia Stipeche, Managing Director of Brand Experience at BrandExtract. “We built something that didn’t just talk about leadership. It made people feel it.”

Extending the Experience
Following the success of L.E.A.D. 2025, UPSIS extended the partnership to include the company’s annual holiday celebration. The event, titled The Leaders’ Lodge, was designed as an elegant, snow-covered hunting lodge, creating a warm, immersive environment that felt both celebratory and intentional. This second collaboration allowed BrandExtract to sustain momentum and reinforce a cohesive brand narrative, demonstrating how a clear experiential strategy can flex across moments while remaining unmistakably UPSIS.

Measurable Impact and Meaningful Engagement
Employee feedback confirmed the effectiveness of this approach. Ninety percent of attendees rated the experience as excellent, with an overall satisfaction score of 4.74 out of 5. Qualitative responses further reinforced that the event struck the intended balance: professional without feeling corporate, strategic without losing its human core.
“One attendee described the event as an organizational signal rather than an internal conference,” said Charity Ndisengei, Director of Strategy at BrandExtract. “That distinction matters. When leadership intent, culture, and creative strategy are aligned, the message moves beyond awareness and becomes embedded.”
Building Brands Through Experiences
At BrandExtract, we see events not as standalone moments, but as strategic opportunities to build culture, connection, and organizational clarity. Our work with UPS Industrial Services transformed a leadership conference into a living brand experience, one that reflected who the company is today and where it is headed next.
