We developed a dynamic brand platform to shift perceptions and communicate Oxy’s commitment to being a leader in carbon management. To do so, we created a clear and compelling brand identity and narrative that emphasizes the company’s mission and its goal of being net zero by 2050.

To avoid clichéd portrayals of breakthrough moments, we created a more conceptual and nuanced approach for Oxy that captures the excitement and spirit of achieving what others consider impossible. Today, Oxy is at the forefront of carbon capture technology, pioneering a closed-loop system that not only enhances oil production but also permanently stores carbon underground.

The new brand graphically depicted that the impossible was possible through the tesseract. These 3D objects form the core of the visual language, symbolizing Oxy's values and conveying the dynamic, evolving nature of the new brand.

The campaign was designed with shapes that adapt and transform based on the brand's promises and values. The fluid and ever-changing nature of these shapes reflects Oxy's ambitious commitment to "zero in" on achieving net-zero emissions by 2050, aligning with the goals of the Paris Agreement.
